How waterproof is this laminate for a utility area? Thx

Hi,

This flooring is fine for use in area where it may get wet, providing the flooring is sealed .We recommend a hydrokit sealant for the edges of the room where an expansion gap should be left, and also a click and seal, which can be applied to the edges of the boards when installed.

Is this suitable for bathroom and kitchens. There is a blue exclamation mark beside them both in the picture.

Hi,

This means that the product can be used in areas where the flooring may get wet, however extra care needs to be taken. By this we mean that the flooring needs to be sealed where any standing water may get underneath, which would be where the expansion gap is left around the perimeter of the room. You can seal the floor by applying a silicone sealant around the expansion gap, which can be hidden underneath a beading.

Hi,

This flooring locks together with a Uniclic trademark fitting system. This means that you do not need to use any adhesive on the joints or underside of the boards. This technique of installation is called a floating floor, where the flooring simply sits on top of the underlay locked in place.
